I really liked using Diigo as it was easy to set up and use. I did not like that it had me set up a chrome extension. I am always apprehensive when I have to add anything extra to a site for safety reasons. I was very pleased with how simple and helpful it was for my web browsing.      I have enjoy blogging so far as it is an interesting way to reflect on what I have been learning. I do not like that we have to write because I am not the biggest fan of writing in general. I have learned how to add gadgets to the blog, which has been really interesting to use. It will be a great thing to use if I ever make a personal blog.      If I start teaching, one Web 2.0 tool that I might use is Tik Tok. I have seen a lot of helpful resources on this platform that could be beneficial. Additionally, I think that the environment on this platform is encouraging, and will help me stay motivated in teaching. Overall, I think that Tik Tok is a ...

One standard that was in the Kindergarten ELA standards was to be able to utilize different text items to navigate through key information in various texts. In other words, this standard is having students learn to be comfortable using various platforms in order to locate the information that they need. I do feel prepared to implement this standard as I have worked with different text features at my job at the bookstore. We would implement electronic menus and icons into our website.      The tool I found on the CPLAMS website was a science hunt that students could go on in the classroom. This tool allows students to locate and observe different items in the classroom and places an emphasis on the 5 senses. I would use it in my classroom because I think it would be a great opportunity for students to grow in their investigative skills. Also, it would allow students to learn about different items they can locate with their senses.  ...

Copyright is a law that protects the work of a person by requiring permission to use one's work. Fair use allows one to be able to use another person's work in certain contexts, like schoolwork. As a teacher developing materials, I would make sure to check whether material I was using was either copyrighted or fair use. I would also have my students know the difference so that they could be aware of it when submitting their own work. I would make sure to have a Works Cited page for all assignments that required research.      There are many technology implementation issues that are seen in the classroom today. In order to prevent academic dishonesty in my classroom, I would make sure all work has a Works Cited page. I would also run their assignments through a plagiarism check application. In order to prevent student's privacy, I would not have them use programs that could allow their information to be accessed by others. For examp...

Computer with Peripherals  by  Dinikolos  is licensed under  CC BY-NC-ND 2.0      As a high school student, I used Microsoft Word only to write papers, and to submit assignments. When I became a student at FSU, I started to use Microsoft Word for papers and assignments as well as lab reports and creating creative materials. I prefer to use Google Docs for college assignments as it is easy to collaborate on and has many features that Word does not. Also, you are able to access the documents from any computer by logging onto your drive, which is super helpful.      The most meaningful ISTE standard to meaningful to me is designer. Educators are designers for learning environments and help create learning activities and experiences. This is important for K-12 educators because it allows them to create ways to enhance the learning of their students. It also allows educators to find different ways to impact children's learning by touching on ...
